IOWA PARK, TX - Nathan Ewing...a son, grandson, brother, cousin and a best friend
Connor Franklin, Nathan's best friend said, "the past five days have been an awful time for all of us and easily the toughest days of my life. It's been like living a nightmare that you just can't wake up from"
Connor Franklin fought through tears as he shared some of the best memories about his best friend.
"Nathan valued god, family and friends, in that order. He especially loved his mom," Connor.
Kelly Ewing, Nathan's mom said, "he is definitely humble and kind and he always had a smile on his face. He would do anything for anyone."
And he lived his life to the fullest., setting goals and accomplishing them...
Pastor Tim Franks said, "he set aside on attending the University of Oklahoma at 10 years old, that's where he wanted to go, that's where he was going to go for college and that's where he went...He accomplished that. As far as Nathan was concerned, there was nothing that he could not do if he worked hard enough."
Friends and family say in his 20 years of life, Nathan accomplished much more than most do in a lifetime...
Cody parks, Nathan's youth pastor said, "Nathan wasn't a quitter, didn't matter what he did, if it was on a football field, if it was sharing his life, if it was eating food."
Nathan's youth pastor says Nathan loved to eat.
Nathan was loved by many...To some, he was more like a brother...
"He was good hearted, humble, loving, mom fearing," Cody said. "But then he wanted to be like his Grandpa. He wanted to fly and he was working on that."
Amongst the many other things Nathan set out to do, becoming a pilot was one of them.
"Nathan may not fly on a plane but folks, Nathan's got wings and he's got the best kind of wings," Cody.
"Instead of aching over the loss of him, I'll forever celebrate the 20 amazing years we had together. I love you Nathan," Connor.
A strong Christian with a bright future ahead...An angel gone too soon.
All those who knew and loved Nathan said he was that one person they could always count on.
