Community Healthcare Center's 13,000 square foot dental clinic is now open.
The facility has 23 dental rooms, a state of the art sterilization room and a surgery room-- something the old clinic did not have.
Center officials say the old dental center was so busy the wait time for a dental procedure was about four months.
Now, the wait time is expected to greatly decrease, thanks to this facility officials say was finished one month ahead of schedule.
"Everything is functional. The technology is in place. We have an electronic medical record that tracks all the patient information and keeps track of all that and it helps with the billing and so forth, so at that point we made the decision to go ahead an move," says Michael Dye, chief operating officer at Community Healthcare Center.
Officials say the dental clinic is funded through a $4 million Affordable Care Act grant. A ribbon cutting is set for the facility next month.
