Henry Florsheim accepted the position yesterday. He's been president of the chamber in El Dorado, Arkansas since 2010.
Florsheim was selected after an 8 month, nationwide search that started with a pool of 30 applicants.
And after meeting face to face with Florsheim and another finalist chamber officials say he became the unanimous choice.
"We all understand that we've got some challenges with water and historically static growth and population, but it was his attitude on how he sees ways of changing that and how he approaches those kinds of problems."
Florsheim will take over the position from Tim Chase, who left in February for a job in Wichita, Kansas, and from Kevin Pearson, who has been interim President/CEO for the past seven months.
November 1st will be Florsheim's first day on the job.
