A restaurant north of the Red River is hoping customers flow through the doors when they open their newest location in Wichita Falls soon.
Back Porch Drafthouse General Manager Jeremy Perice hopes the restaurant will help fill a craft beer void they say is missing in Wichita Falls.
"We really feel like that market hasn't been touched with what we are offering," Perice says.
Back Porch Drafthouse is putting its finishing touches on the company's newest location in Wichita Falls.
Peirce says the original Back Porch in Lawton has been open just over a year and has already brewed a lot of success.
"Lawton has been great to us. Sales have just been dynamic," Perice says. "We've got a great fan base. We hope that Wichita Falls will back us just like Lawton has."
In addition, Peirce says besides food, the restaurant will offer a wide selection of beers.
"We'll be real deep in craft beer. I believe that's a market that's really untapped in Wichita Falls," Perice says.
He says they plan to look local when buying the craft beers they will serve.
He says, "We always like to focus on local breweries. It makes us become part of that community and offer the products that are being produced around us."
Perice says they hope to have their grand opening on June 1 but if you can't wait until then they'll be showcasing some of their products at this weekend's first ever Tornado Alley Brewfest.
The Wichita Falls Rotary Club North is hosting the event that will bring in more than 50 beers for you to sample.
The event is on Saturday at the J.S. Bridwell Ag Center.
The event is from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit wounded veterans, area volunteer fire departments and other local charities.
