No "Knock out" in Wichita Falls

It can be referred to as "Point 'em out," or "Bomb," but it's most commonly known as the "Knockout game,” and it's the game that now has one Texas man behind bars.

Conrad Barret, 27, is charged with a federal hate crime by playing the knock out game.

Friday he was denied bail by federal prosecutors in Houston.

The US Justice department says it's been aware of "Kockout game" incidents since the early 90's, but Wichita Falls doesn't seem to see those acts.

Currently we have not had any cases reported from the knock out game. So that's a great thing,” said Officer Kristine Henning from the WFPD.

Similar cases have been reported recently in several states, including Illinois, Washington state and New York, where the suspect was charged with a hate crime in the alleged attack of a white Jewish man.
