Norris' Trial Date to Soon be Scheduled

    The case against a former Holliday High School softball coach accused of having an improper relationship with a student is heading to the trial docket.
    A sealed indictment alleges nine counts of charges related to engaging in a sexual relationship with a student against David Austin Norris.
    Court records show he will first go to trial on two charges of improper relationship between an educator and a student.
    Court documents show the alleged offenses involved a victim who was 16-years-old at the time.
    The offenses allegedly occurred between May 1, 2011 and April 1, 2012.
    Norris also has other charges from Wichita and Archer counties to his name.
    He remains in the Wichita County Jail.
    Norris' bond is set at $100-thousand for each charge for a total of $900-thousand.
