Sheriff Paul Cunningham said, after being on the run for nearly six months he turned himself in to the Montague County Sheriff's Office Friday.
28-year-old Randy Jay Hofsetter was wanted on several parole violations and failure to register as a sex offender.
On July 8th, he was placed on the Texas Department of Public Safety's "10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders" list, with a reward of up to $5,000 dollars.
In January, a probation violation warrant was issued for Hofsetter out of Hopkins County, in connection with his conviction in 2009 involving an 8-year-old girl, on three counts of sexual assault of a child. Later that month the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for parole violation for delivery of methamphetamine.
Sheriff Paul Cunningham said he is back in the Hopkins County Jail.
