Odd Duck Coffee House Opens Downtown

Locals now have one more place to grab some coffee.... in the same building that the beans are roasted!

Odd Duck Coffee House opened its doors at 717 Seventh Street on Saturday morning.

Their coffee and espresso originating from 11 different regions worldwide, ranging from light to medium dark roast.

The beans are organic and are fair trade certified.

But there's one more thing that sets them apart from other shops in the area.

"We're an actual roastery. That's what we want to brand ourselves as. Our tasting room is just an avenue for people to try out our different coffees, All of the coffee is roasted right here in the shop," Owner Ted Klopf said.

Patrons can sit at this bar and watch workers roast the beans before trying it out.

The house also supplies coffee to several retailers in the area.

And even makes their own K-cups right here in the shop.

The house is open Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 6:30 pm and Saturday 8 am to 4 pm.

And follows Friday's opening of two other businesses in the area: The Highlander Public House and The Yard.
