LAKE ARROWHEAD - Firefighters from several departments battled a large house fire at Lake Arrowhead for more than two hours Tuesday afternoon.
The fire on the east side of the lake on Kickapoo Circle was reported about 12:45 p.m.
One Henrietta firefighter had to be treated after he got a severe cut in one arm from broken glass. He received aid to stop the bleeding on the scene and at last report was in the emergency room.
The home is reported to be a total loss and had been vacant for some time, though there were signs work may have been done on it recently.
Firefighters say the fire appears it could have started in the garage because that is where most of the smoke was coming from when they arrived, but the cause is unknown.
Five volunteer fire departments plus the Wichita Falls Fire Department responded to the blaze.
