Dylan Dalton Stengel, who's 17-years-old, is charged with terroristic threat.
He's being held in the Wichita County Jail on a $25-thousand bond.
According to an arrest affidavit, police say just before six last night they were contacted by a parent who says she saw a concerning comment posted by Stengel.
In the comment, Stengel allegedly said he was going to "do" a school shooting and that he was going to make a "white list" and everyone who didn't want to die would need to add their name to the list.
After making that comment police say he changed his facebook profile picture to one of him holding a tactical type shotgun.
Police went to Stengel's home and say the teenager confessed to making the post.
He also said it was a "joke."
Officers say they told him making such a reference is no joking matter.
Detective Royce Challis, who's with the Burkburnett Police Department, says, "By taking this individual into custody, we're ensuring that he will not be able to perpetuate any further violence on anyone."
Police say beyond the information that's in the arrest affidavit, they can't comment on anything else as this case is still under investigation.
But they do want to stress that there's nothing to be worried about, the situation is under control, and everyone is safe.
