A Wichita Falls police chase ends in a truck accident that tore down a fence, uprooted railroad tracks and hospitalized a man.
Police said they were called to check a suspicious vehicle on Hines Blvd around 2:30 Monday morning. Officers said when they spotted the GMC pickup truck, it took off leading to a chase.
They said the chase ended when the truck hit a curb on McKinney road and crashed through a fence and into railroad tracks.
Police say the driver, Bobby Tucker of Wichita Falls, was taken to United Regional with minor injuries and then booked into jail. He's facing one charge of evading arrest and detention. Bond has not been set yet.
Officers notified the railroad to stop trains from using the route until the tracks are repaired.
