Police Heighten Security at Duncan Schools

Duncan schools were on high alert Wednesday after receiving a threat Tuesday evening.

Duncan Police patrolled many schools throughout the day.

Police say they received an anonymous tip from Crime Stoppers that someone was going to get hurt at Duncan High School.

School officials say faculty also stepped in and closed the campus for the day.

“We just had a closed campus, we have an open campus at lunch, and we didn't allow the students to leave campus at lunch, we didn't allow students to go to the vocational school,” said Dr. Sherry Labyer, the Duncan ISD Superintendent.

School officials say no incidents occurred today at the schools.
No word yet on whether or not this threat is related to the Australian baseball player's murder.
