A neighbor, who wouldn't go on camera because of safety concerns, describes what she saw.
"We saw all the cops outside and we didn't know what happened," she says.
WFPD Sgt. John Spragins says, "When officers arrived, they found that one of the clerks had been shot."
"We sat outside and we heard people running around screaming," the neighbor says.
"It appears, based on the pictures and the evidence, that the two suspects were obviously coming inside to rob the store at gun point," Spragins says.
Spragins says two clerks were in the store.
One of those was 28-year-old Leonzo Jones who was shot and later died of his injuries.
"He was a very, very nice person," the neighbor says. "You know, you didn't have the exact change and he'd (say), 'Just come back and bring it to me later.'"
She says Jones' murder makes her rethink the location of her new home which she moved into just a couple months ago.
"It makes me want to move. Especially away from the store," she says. "When you hear about two suspects who have not been caught yet, it's really scary. Especially with a little one. It makes me think."
Police say two men are responsible for this crime, which officials are classifying as a capital murder investigation.
Officers describe them as two black males.
They say were wearing bandannas over their faces.
Police say one man was wearing a black hoodie and the other one was wearing a gray hoodie.
