Thirty-two year-old Steven Wade was taken into custody around 11:30 last night.
He's charged with capital murder and is jailed on a $2 million bond.
Wade has previous arrests for robbery, possession of drugs, and received a 10 year sentence for a 2002 aggravated robbery in Wichita Falls.
Officers located him in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Ridgeway Dr.
They say they took Wade into custody after they found a crack pipe in his pocket.
During questioning, police say Wade admitted to entering Zoom Zoom's #5, located in the 1300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Affidavits state Wade says he shot 28-year-old Leonzo Jones, a Zoom Zoom's worker, once in the chest using a 35-caliber handgun.
Jones later died at the hospital from his injuries.
There was also another employee in the store at the time.
The affidavit states he told police two black males in hoodies and bandannas entered and began to rob the business.
The employee says he laid on the floor, heard a single gun shot, sounds of a struggle, and then heard the business' door shut.
When he got up, he says he saw Jones on the floor barley breathing.
Police are still searching for a second suspect as well as the handgun used during the robbery.
