Police: Woman in middle of road with baby on stomach just having "fun day."

A Fort Worth woman is charged with child endangerment after Wichita Falls police say they found her in the middle of a road with a 10-month-old baby on her stomach.

30-year-old Ashley Duffey also has a DWI charge in Fort Worth.

Police say they were called to the 2600 block of Princeton Road Wednesday evening and found Duffey lying in the middle of the street with her 10-month-old child on her stomach, with her head near the center of the road and her feet facing the curb.

When they asked her what she was doing, she said she was “having a fun day in the park.” They then asked her if she knew what city she was in, and say she told them Haslet.

Officers say they could smell alcohol on her breath, she had slurred speech and difficulty maintaining focus while they questioned her.
