A Wichita Falls couple is jailed after officers say a woman lied about the whereabouts of a man they were trying to arrest.
Dustin Northrip and Robin Northrip were booked into jail last night after officers went to a home in Burkburnett to serve an arrest warrant for Dustin.
They say an off duty officer saw Dustin at the house.
They say they knocked on the door and told Robin Northrip they needed to talk to Dustin, but she told them he went out the back.
An officer then asked if he could search the home, and said she said "no" before the homeowner arrived at the scene and gave officers permission.
That's when officers say they found Dustin hiding in a closet.
They say when they asked Robin why she was helping him hide, she told them she'd rather go to Jail than stand out and talk to a bunch of (expletive) cops.
Dustin Northrip was charged with burglary of a vehicle in November when officers say they stopped his car and found items stolen from a car on Pasadena, including a credit card used at a store that day.
