Preliminary Cause of Double Fatal on Kell Determined

Wichita Falls Police have released information from the preliminary crash report in which two people were killed and two others injured in a four vehicle collision on Kell Friday.

The crash happened Friday afternoon at 5pm.

The report shows a lead car slowed down, causing a chain reaction crash.

Police say 18-year-old Dalton Shwartz-Maxwell and 17-year-old Shon Blair were in the third car, a Chevy Aveo. They were pronounced dead at the hospital.

Officials say 17-year-old Billy Bob Skaggs was riding in the Aveo. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance, but there's no word right now on his condition.

Police say a fourth person, 30-year-old Tiffanie Gonzales was driving behind the Aveo in a Chevy Tahoe. She was also taken to the hospital by ambulance. She was treated and released.

The two teens will be laid to rest this week.
