Preliminary Hearing Reset for Defendant in Chris Lane Murder Case

A pre-trial conference for one of three defendants in the Chris Lane murder has been delayed.

James Edwards Jr. is charged with accessory after the fact of first degree murder. His preliminary hearing has been reset for June 17th at the Stephens County Courthouse.

Police say Edwards was in the car when Lane was gunned down back in August. Edwards is testifying against two other teens in hopes of a lesser charge of accessory after the fact.

Chancey Luna and Michael Jones are both charged with first degree murder. Police believe Luna pulled the trigger.

Edwards is also listed as a witness in the case against Oddesse Barnes. Barnes is accused of concealing the 22-caliber revolver used to kill Lane.
