Pretrial Hearing Is Set For Women Who Is Accused of Murder

A new pretrial hearing is set for a Wichita Falls woman accused of murder at the Haystack Club last year.

28-year-old Ashlie Couch is charged with the murder of 48-year-old Douglas Hearne.
She was in 89th district court this morning when her hearing was reset for July 20th.

Couch was arrested last March after shots were fired during a fight at the club on north Scott Avenue.

During questioning, Couch reportedly told officers her cousin had been shot after they were escorted out of the club.

Officers say Couch told them she picked the gun up off the ground, went back inside, and fired three shots at the floor.

Her bond is set at 75 thousand dollars.
