Ranch & Farm Expo Attendants Pour Out Their Opinion on Cloud Seeding

- The fifth annual Wichita Falls Ranch and Farm Expo has come and gone but not before some who attended poured out their opinion on cloud seeding.

This year's expo had the J.S. Bridwell Agriculture Center packed with ranchers and farmers. While checking out the latest in agricultural equipment, many talked about the weather and cloud seeding.

Wednesday the first flight in a six month contract to seed clouds took off from Kickapoo Airport. And while cloud seeding has been a hot topic over the past few weeks, it's something many at the Ranch and Farm Expo welcome with open arms.

"We can't go backwards.  It can't hurt but I think God's a mighty powerful thing.  It's hard to argue maybe which way it went," says Robin Kephart, who approves of cloud seeding.

"When I was small and I was living in Clyde, TX , that was back in the 50's, they used to seed the clouds back then and it would come a rain just right after it.  It just poured down hard rain for a few hours and it helped," adds Roger Wilson, who also approves of cloud seeding.

This year's Ranch and Farm Expo wrapped up Thursday afternoon.
