Reckless Driver Call Leads to Drug and Gun Arrests

A call to Burkburnett police about a reckless driver leads to a brick of marijuana and three arrests. It happened Saturday night at around 9:30.

After the call a trooper says he got behind the car on I-44 as it drove toward Wichita Falls. The trooper says the car was speeding up and slowing down and swerving before he pulled over the driver.

That's when he says he noticed Eric Dreon Hardesty had blood shot eyes before he failed a field sobriety test. The trooper says two blue pills were found in Hardesty's pocket and a large brick of marijuana and a pistol were found in a bag in the back floor board.

Hardesty is charged with possession of marijuana greater than 4- ounces, less than 5- pounds, possession of a dangerous drug and driving while intoxicated.

The passenger Crystal Lucia Miles faces the same marijuana charge and a charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon.
A back seat passenger was also arrested and faces the same charges.
