Ret. Air Force Officer Throwing Name Into WF Councilor at Large

At the City Level, a Retired Air Force Officer has thrown her hat into the ring to run for Wichita Falls Councilor at large.

Penny Miller is the President for Venture HRO, LLC., A human relations outsourcing and consulting company.
She says she adopted Wichita Falls as her home after retiring from the air force.

Over the years, Miller has served on a variety of city boards and commissions-- such as the Parks Board and the Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee.
She has also helped countless non-profits over the years.

Current at- large councilor Michael Smith can not run again under charter term limits, at least until he sits out at least two years.

He has served three terms as district one councilor and two as at large, which will make 10 years total.
The charter limits councilors to no more than three consecutive terms in one seat or 10 consecutive years in any elected position.
