As stage five is being decided, city officials are still working on a project that will help put more water into our water supply.

We are about half way through the 45 day verification study on the water that gets recycled through the water reuse project and some of the results are in.

Some tests are done at the Cypress Water Treatment Plant and some are sent to labs across the country, but all tests are showing better results than expected. Meaning so far, the water is proving to be safe to drink.

After the 45 day study, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will review the data before giving Wichita Falls the okay to put that water back into our drinking supply.

Right now the water is going into the Wichita River.
