An outbreak of cattle rustling in several Texoma counties has brought a call for help in catching the cow thieves, and a reward for information leading to arrests.
The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association is looking for leads and tips in the recent theft of cattle and equipment in Baylor, Knox, Haskell and King counties.
A TSCRA Special Ranger is working with local authorities on these thefts. Authorities say there have been multiple cases, mostly between Benjamin and Guthrie.
One ranch alone saw 100 head of cattle and calves vanish, and a neighboring ranch is missing 40 calves. Vehicles are also missing.
The association is offering a $1,000 reward for information on the suspect or suspects. To report thefts or to provide any information in this case or any other case please call 800-242-7820.
