Saint Jo Man Severely Injured in ATV Accident at Rednecks with Paychecks Event

A Saint Jo man is now in the hospital after getting being injured at the "Rednecks with Paychecks" festival in Montague County.

The Montague County Sheriff's office confirmed 32-year-old Tyler Terry, who was watching an ATV race, was hit in the face by a 15 pound rock after it was kicked up by an ATV.

According to a gofundme page set up for Terry, he is in ICU on a ventilator and is facing multiple surgeries and rehabilitation.

Rednecks with Paychecks is a bi-annual event where thousands converge on a 1200 acre farm outside Saint Jo.
Mudding, racing, rock climbing and live concerts are all part of the events.

Last may, a man died when his ATV flipped over backwards. Two months earlier, a 30-year-old woman was also killed when an ATV rolled over. And, in March 2015 a 10-year-old boy ran into the side of a truck while on a 4-wheeler and was also killed.

We reached out to Rednecks with Paychecks organizers, they declined to comment.
