Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says there's no doubt Bashar al Assad is behind a chemical bombing in Syria that targeted civilians and Tillerson told reporters today that "it would seem" Assad must be removed from power.
Asked whether the Trump administration is organizing an international effort to remove Assad, Tillerson flatly said an effort is already underway.
"We are considering an appropriate response for this chemical weapons attack which violates all previous un resolutions, violates international norms and long-held agreements between parties including the Syrian regime, the Russian government and all members of the UN Security council, its a serious matter that requires a serious response," Rex Tillerson, Secretary of State.
Tillerson spoke at the West Palm Beach, Florida airport where he'd just greeted Chinese President Xi upon his arrival for a summit with President Trump.
