Traffic was slowed for hours on Southbound Central freeway after a refrigerated semi hauling milk overturned.

It happened just before 7AM on I-44 near the 8th Street exit. The driver told officers a car pulled in front of him and he swerved to miss it, spilling milk onto the roadway.

The driver, 44-year-old Ezekiel Bernard Allen of Amarillo, was checked for injuries on the scene before heading to jail.

He was booked on driving with license invalid. This is the second time he's been charged with that offense.
