The rain isn't stopping Sheppard Air Force Base officials from gearing up for tomorrow's Fourth of July celebration.
Airmen started setting up tents for tomorrow's Freedom Fest.
The event will include live music, a kids area and a 20 minute fireworks show.
But if you're wondering if recent rains have put a damper on the fun and getting to or parking at the event, Sheppard officials say they've got that all worked out.
"We'll have folks park on the hard packed areas. They won't have to worry about mud. The parking area will be a little bit away from the event area but we've got lots of buses to move people from where they'll be parking to the event area so we're prepared for that," says Lt. Col. Larry Fletcher, with the 82nd Training Wing at Sheppard AFB.
Missile Road gates open tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
The fireworks show starts at 10 p.m.
Sheppard officials say no large bags, coolers or alcohol will be allowed on base.
However, they urge you to bring mosquito repellent and folding chairs or blankets to watch the fireworks.
