It's almost been a month since the no smoking ordinance went into effect in Wichita Falls, and the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health Department has been working hard to keep residents aware.

Officials say they frequently receive calls with complaints from businesses.

Remember, the smoking ordinance requires smokers to stand twenty-feet from the door of any business.

This is one of the reasons why the health department has seen a great demand for the window signs to make sure all bars and restaurants in Wichita Falls can keep people aware.

"The health inspectors have began taking those out with them when they go on inspections so that is the restaurants and facilities want that they can do that, they're also taking them out when we get complaints," Health District Director Lou Kreidler says.

Kreidler said they will continue to order more signs as the demand for them continues to grow.
