While we got some much needed rain over the past couple of days, the drought is still holding in Texoma.

Now some Wichita County residents have another source of water, Burkburnett's new automated water station.

This morning, Wichita County commissioners approved an agreement with the city of Burkburnett on use of the water station by county residents who have no access to safe drinking water.

There is a $25 dollar monthly fee for county residents who decide to use the station in Burkburnett, in addition to the cost of the water.

Residents need to go to the county courthouse to see if they qualify, and fill out the paperwork, which can be printed from online.

You must have a valid drivers license and a voter registration card and utility bill.

The station in Burk is located at the corner of East 4th Street and North Avenue B right next to the fire station in Burkburnett.
