Special Olympics Torch Passes through Texoma

The Special Olympics torch is on it's way to the summer games.

Thursday, a group of law enforcement officials from Amarillo ran the flame through Texoma, passing it off to the 82nd Security Forces Squadron in Iowa Park. That team then ran the torch to Marco's Pizza on Missle Road where they stopped for a quick lunch.

Next stop, the torch is going to Arlington where the opening ceremony for the summer games is Friday night. The main games kick off Saturday morning.

We want to wish the best of luck to all of the Texoma athletes competing in the event!
