Nocona Tales 'n Trails museum opened just two years ago but still they have many plans to expand.
The oil and gas and agriculture exhibits are two areas which they're looking to improve and tonight they will be holding their second dinner and auction for the museum.
But this year, the event is going to be even sweeter.
People are setting up for the 2nd annual fundraiser for the Tales 'n Trails museum in Nacona.
They host a steak dinner with a live, silent and bucket auction.
But this year they added something new.
Another "sweet" way to make some dough.
"It was a competition for decorating cakes and different kind of pies, and they paid a small entry fee for the money to go to the museum and the competition," said Nell Ann Mcbroom, from Tales 'N Trails museum.
And what's a competition without someone to judge.
So I gladly offered my services along side some experts.
It was no easy task, but indeed a filling one, with strict instructions on how to score.
"Creativity, use of the ingredients, overall presentation, and of course number one flavor," said pastry chef, Connie Mullins.
Flavors of chocolate, coconut, and cherry were tried.
But once the scores were added up it wasn't so much about who would win but how this museum has cooked up a recipe for success.
The winners of today's competition will be announced later tonight.
And organizers say they're already cooking up more food competitions for next year.
