A new trial date could be scheduled next week for a Wichita Falls police officer involved in a car crash that killed 2- girls and an unborn baby.

Teddie Whitefield's bench trial had been set for July 28th, but was delayed recently.

A status hearing is set for next Friday in 30th District Court, and a new trial date may be set.

Investigators say Whitefield was driving on Jacksboro Highway just over 3- years ago at least 80- miles an hour, and without lights or a siren before the crash.

13- year- old Gloria Montoya, and 18- year- old Yeni Lopez , who was 8- months pregnant, were killed.

In March, Whitefield waived his right to a jury trial and entered judicial confessions to 3- counts of criminally negligent homicide.

But, he could still be found guilty of manslaughter.

According to emails filed by attorneys, Whitefield's new trial date could be in the first 2- weeks in December.
