At Tuesday’s meeting Wichita Falls councilors will be voting to approve an increase in the cost of the Temporary Water Reuse transfer facilities.

The increase will cost the city a little over $300,000.

That money will provide piping and changes needed at the Cypress Water Treatment Plant for the Water Reuse Project.

Wichita Falls Public Works Director says the city has been expecting the cost increase, they just didn't know what parts of the project would need to be worked on.

“We didn't know exactly where all the TCEQ was going to require us to actually cut the lines and sever them,” says Public Works Director Russel Schreiber.

The temporary Water Reuse Project is expected to be pumping our recycled water back into the system this spring.

If you want to give your opinion on the resolution, city council meetings are open to the public.

The next one is Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at Memorial Auditorium
