Here in Texoma a 6-year-old boy is in need of your help.

Blake Fields has type one diabetes and is in need of a diabetic alert dog to help him know when his blood sugar is too low.

The problem is the price tag. The service animal cost 18-thousand dollars.

And, that's why many people in the community are coming together for a benefit, so that Blake can soon get his guardian.

It's set for Friday, February 8th, starting at 6 p.m. at the Elks Lodge at 4205 Seymour Highway.

For 10 dollars per person you can enjoy a nice Mexican dinner.

There will also be a live auction, bake sale, a dance, kids activities, games and much more.

Donations are certainly welcome too.
