While the entire country is celebrating our independence, the Kell House museum also celebrates the history of Wichita Falls on this patriotic day.
The Most Patriotic Parade brings out families every year for the car show and parade, all ending at the Kell House for the Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration.
The house was built in 1909 by Frank Kell who helped develop the town of Wichita Falls.
Residents say the celebration is a great event for the community to celebrate the history of Wichita Falls along with our Nation's independence.
Families from all over Wichita Falls enjoyed the most patriotic parade, and there was something for everyone to get excited about.
"I'm excited about the fire trucks," said young RC Albert from Wichita Falls.
Others say food and fun at the Old-Fashioned Celebration was what they look forward to.
And it's not just the holiday that brings people out every year, but also to learn more about the men and women who built Wichita Falls.
"The house was built in 1909 by Frank Kell who was one of our local founders, and the history of the house is really important because he was one of the people who built the community into what it is today," Kell House Curator Stacie Flood says.
Celebrating the town's history is something that members of the community say makes the holiday special every year.
"The Kell House is such a home town feel. You just get to go around to the carnivals and it's just a sweet community feeling," Wichita Falls resident, Courtney Albert says.
It's that community feel along with a celebration of history that keeps people coming and organizers hosting these events year after year.
"We wanted to have something to give back to the community, so an Old Fashioned Fourth of July just sort of fit right in," Flood says.
The Kell House also invited several non-profit organizations to come out and participate in the thirtieth anniversary festivities.
