Tips Generating Interviews in Lavonte Jackson Homicide

Lawton police are now interviewing people who may have information about the weekend homicide of a 21 year old man.

Police say Saturday shortly after 6 p.m., Lavonte Jackson was found on a porch in the 2300 block of Southwest Evans Street with a fatal gunshot wound.

Police say three men were seen hustling from the scene in a dark colored SUV that was driven by a white female.

According to officials, numerous tips has led them to possible subjects to be interviewed but so far, no arrests have been made.

And they are still searching for the female driver.

According to investigators, Lavonte Jackson was not a stranger to Lawton police.

They say he was affiliated with a gang and between 2001 and 2011 he had been arrested for drugs, drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and domestic abuse.
