Wichita Falls leaders have chosen the person who will oversee city elections in the future.
Tracy Norr will be the next city clerk for Wichita Falls.
In addition to managing elections Norr will be responsible for providing administrative support for the council, overseeing records and coordinating the city's boards and commissions.
Norr comes to Wichita Falls from Draper, Utah where she served as the city recorder.
Prior to her service in Draper, she spent 2 years in Fillmore, Utah as City Recorder and 14 years as City Secretary for the Town of Pantego, Texas.
Norr says, "I look forward to working in Wichita Falls. I was given a warm welcome during the interview process and I am excited to work with the Mayor, Council, and staff on a daily basis. Wichita Falls offers excellent opportunities and will be a great place to call home."
Norr holds a Master's Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor's Degree in Office Administration from Utah State University.
She has also received a designation as Master Municipal Clerk from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
She will begin her new position, August 12, 2013.
She replaces Lydia Ozuna who retired in June, after serving the city for almost 20 years.
