City buses now have a new stop in Wichita Falls.

Monday was the first day both Greyhound and city buses rolled through the travel center, since it opened last week.

The new building on East Scott Street includes a security office, wi-fi and a conference room that can accommodate 50 people.

Officials say their first day is off to a great start and they have heard lots of positive feedback from travelers, and as their bus ticket sales are on the rise officials say they hope the increase of business for them will equal an increase in business downtown.

“It's brought people, that normally never come downtown and it's also the start of big things to come for Wichita Falls and that's whats so great about working down here,” says Travel Center Supervisor Jenny Stevens.

The travel center will be open Monday through Friday, from 6 a. m. to 6p.m., and 6 a.m. To 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
