Trial Date Set for Cover-up Murder Suspect
Trial is set for a former Petrolia resident authorities say killed a man and then had family members help bury his body behind his home.
Justin Green is charged with murder.
Employees at the Clay County District Clerk's office say his trial will be August 6.
His mother, Terri Green, his sister, Brittany Green, and Stephanie Corral are all charged with tampering with evidence.
District clerk employees say one of them will go to trial August 13, the next on November 5, and the last case won't go to trial until next year but that date isn't set.
Clay County Sheriff Kenny Lemons says all four had a hand in killing Jose Ramirez and burying his body in a shallow grave behind a home south of Petrolia.
Officers say Brittany Green told them sometime before Oct. 15, 2007, her brother shot the man with a rifle in the home because he did not believe in God, and was also reaching for a gun.
