Tuesday Meeting Will Not Address Electra Police Chief Fate

Electra Police Chief Johnny Morris will have to wait to see if he will continue heading up the police department.

Morris became police chief 11 years ago.

A meeting was set for tomorrow afternoon to address Morris' immediate termination but earlier today Electra City Administrator Larry Pannell sent out a notice saying because of a family emergency Mayor Curtis Warner will not be able to attend.

So, although commissioners will still hold Tuesday's 5:30 p.m. meeting at the Electra Chamber of Commerce, members will *not* take any action on the agenda items dealing with Chief Morris.

Pannell has not said when those items will be addressed.
