Two More Opportunites For Wichita County Residents to Gain Information About The Bond Proposal

There are two more opportunities for Wichita County residents to gain information about the proposed new law enforcement center before next month's bond election.

The public is encouraged to attend Monday's commissioner's Court at 10 am in room 270 of the Wichita County Courthouse.

Then, Monday evening at 6 in the 30th district court discussions about the possible jail construction project will be made during the second public hearing with HOK Architects and Harper Perkins Architects.

If the bond is passed on May 6th, Wichita County taxpayers can expect to see a 7- percent increase in taxes over the next 30 years.

Construction would begin in the fall and the facility would take 2- and 3- years to complete.
