Two oilfield workers in Archer County are seriously injured when a tank they were cutting with torches flashed.

It happened yesterday just after noon on Schlegel Rd. off FM 2178.

Archer County officials say 47-year-old Kenneth Montgomery and 70-year-old Wylie Beasley were cutting up a tank they thought the oil had been flushed from when there was a flash flame.

Both men were rushed to the hospital in Olney and then transferred to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

We spoke with a relative of Beasley today and she tells us Montgomery has now been released and Beasley is making improvement, though he suffered second degree burns to about 30% of his body.
