At least two Texoma counties lifted their burn bans today because of recent moisture and humid conditions.
Montague and Young counties, which enacted burn bans about two weeks ago, have now lifted them.
Officials say the threat of wildfires is greatly reduced with recent weather.
Young County Commissioners will review conditions in two weeks and make a decision then on whether the ban should be reinstated.
Archer County Commissioners today discussed lifting their burn ban that was to expire Thursday, but decided with the forecast calling for warmer and drier weather, to extend it another 30 days.
Wichita County remains under its burn ban enacted last May.
