Two Wichita Falls homes receive coveted historical designation and are now designated as city landmarks.
The Langford home, located at 13-hundred Tilden, was built in 1922.
And the Fraser house, at 2106 Hiawatha Blvd., was built in 1929.
Officials say both of the homes are excellent architectural examples and have a connection to the cultural history of the community.
The homes' current owners received landmark medallions at Tuesday's city council meeting.
They'll be affixed to the outside of the homes so everyone knows the historical value of the houses.
Wichita Falls has 26 other landmarks and a total of two historical districts.
No building in the city has received historical designation since the Holt Hotel back in 2007.
The Landmark Commission hopes to designate eight more homes in the next two years.
