TxDot workers traveled to different locations educating people about the importance of finding a sober ride home.
Organizers of the campaign hope their holiday decorated limo will get peoples' attention and remind them to have a plan to stay safe this month.
They started at Sheppard Air Force base handing out pledges to Air Force members but their goal is to educate everyone because they say even kids need to learn not to get into a vehicle with someone who has been drinking.
Last year there were more than 700 alcohol related crashes in Texas in the month of December alone.
“Well because a lot of times people don't have a plan or some time their first plan falls through so it's good to have a second plan,” says Andrea Giordano, who took the pledge.
The limo will be traveling the state but if you don't catch one you can still take the safe and sober pledge and enter to win some great prizes, just visit their website, HolidaySoberRide.com.
