Unauthorized Pool Water Use Raises Concern and Closes a W.F. Public Pool

Wichita Falls health officials say a public swimming pool is closed after unauthorized water was used in the pool, which has them urging private pool owners to be careful with the water they use.
The city has five approved water haulers for public and semi-public pools, like the hauler seen in this video filling the Fain swimming pool.
However, health officials say several weeks ago they learned unauthorized water was used in an unidentified public pool in the city.

"We had to close down the pool down and we were concerned that this may be happening in other places so wanted to put the word out again to be very careful with the water you're buying and putting in your pool," says Susan Morris, environment health administrator for Wichita Falls - Wichita County Public Health District.

Morris says no one got sick from the pool water and the pool owners cannot reopen until tests return from an approved Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, or TCEQ, lab that the water is free of contaminants.
