According to Sargeant Joe Snyder with the Wichita Falls Police Department, shortly before 4pm yesterday afternoon, two black males entered Mo's grocery at 3600 Iowa Park Road.
Snyder said it appeared the suspects were attempting to rob the store, when one of the men shot Ahmad in the chest.
Sargeant Snyder said the two suspects left the store and headed North to a nearby drainage ditch.
Snyder said Ahmad was able to make it to a phone, but according to Snyder, it's unclear if Ahmad was the one to call 911.
Ahmad was transported to United Regional, where he died in surgery.
Police said the first suspect, who shot Ahmad, is a black male, 18 to 20 years old, 5'10'' tall with a thin build.
He was wearing a grey or light blue wind breaker, grey sweat pants, with a green and white baseball cap and a blue bandana around his neck.
The second suspect, also a black male, 18-20 years old, 5'10'' tall and 140 pounds.
He was wearing a grey or blue sweatshirt or hooded sweatshirt and a green knit stocking cap.
Sargeant Snyder said any more information the public might have would be greatly appreciated.
"We need more information on this capital murder for sure," said Snyder, "we've got a couple of leads we're running down right now, but everything that we can get in can help us put this case where it needs to be, in for prosecution."
