Vernon College Costs Going Up

- Tuition at Vernon College is staying the same for the 2014 - 2015 school year, but that does not mean students won't have a slightly higher bill.

The college is raising it's institutional service fee by ten dollars per credit hour.

And, the fee covers many different projects, but this year has a special focus.

“To renovate the parking lot at the century city center on Maplewood Street, that's a project we would like to finish, next summer would be great, not this coming summer but the following summer and if not then, defiantly by the summer of 2016,” says Vernon College President Dr. Dusty Johnston.

Dr. Johnston says they're also actively looking for a new skill center in preparation for the Wichita County Jail to expand.

There's no set date for that to happen.
