The delayed Vernon Farmers Market will finally open for the season after a rough spring of late freezes and drought.
The market was supposed to open May 18, but the opening was delayed to this Saturday.
The Farmers Market will be open Saturdays from 8 until noon on the courthouse square and may be extended through August this year.
They also plan to continue the craft and art market this year to October after the Farmers Market season ends.
This Saturday's opening of the Farmers Market will also feature a craft show, which will return the first Saturday of every month.
